The PKBGT returned to action on July 23-24 with the Hampton Roads Classic at Cahoon Plantation Golf Club. Cahoon has served as one of the practice courses for the Old Dominion University women’s golf team. It is also home to the Girls Golf site of Hampton Roads.
Winning the Prep Series was Carley Rudolf (Virginia Beach, VA 2019) with rounds of 80-74-154. In second place by one stroke was Rebecca DiNunzio (Norfolk, VA 2019) with rounds of 80-75-155. In third place also by one was Kayla Perkins (Bethesda, MD 2018) with rounds of 79-77-156. In fourth place with rounds of 82-77-159 was Jinny Park (Fairfax, VA 2019). In fifth place with rounds of 80-81-161 was Casey Morrow (Mars, PA 2017).
Winning the Futures Series was Paris Fieldings (Suffolk, VA 2023) with rounds of 77-78-155. In second place with rounds of 79-81-160 was Rebecca Sun (Virginia Beach, VA 2022). In third place was Katie Park (Fairfax, VA 2022) with rounds of 79-82-161. In fourth place was Carmen Tucker (Fayetteville, NC 2019) with rounds of 79-86-165. In fifth place was Shalie Williams (Shawboro, NC 2018) with rounds of 88-80-168.
The PKBGT returns to action on July 29th with the NC One-Day Series event at Bermuda Run (West)!
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
