Recap: Uppal, Wagler Win NC One-Day at Bryan Park

On Thursday, July 21, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the NC One-Day Series event  at Bryan Park Golf Course. Bryan Park, home of the UNCG women’s golf team, is a brilliant course for this one day tournament. The event features a field 31 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour .

Winning the Prep Series today was Muskan Uppal (Cornelius, NC 2019) with a round of 72.  Uppal shot a great 1-under 35 on the back nine to shoot even par for the day.  In close second was Olivia John (Summerfield, NC 2018) with a round of 75.  In third place was Emelia Pack (Browns Summit, NC 2019) with a 77.  In fourth place was Mackenzie Battle (Aberdeen, NC 2018) with a 78.  In fifth place matching cards was Megan Munroe (Raeford, NC 2016) with a round of 80.

Winning the Futures Series was Lorin Wagler (Seven Lakes, NC 2019) with a round of 77.  In second place by one stroke was Amanda Kang (Kernersville, NC 2018) with a 78.  In third place was Anna Hillman (Summerfield, NC 2018) with an 82.  In fourth place with an 83 was Katelyn Kenthack (Pinehurst, NC 2020).  In fifth place matching cards was Layla Meric (Wesley Chapel, NC 2021) with an 84.

The PKBGT returns to action this weekend  with the Hampton Roads Classic at Cahoon Plantation Golf Club!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
