Update: Ties at 73 in Prep, Simon Leads Black-Eyed Susan Classic

On Tuesday – Wednesday, June 28-29, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the Black-Eyed Susan Classic at Green Spring Valley Hunt Club. The course hosted a USGA US Junior Girls Championship and is a fantastic course for Mid-Atlantic Series finale. The top-three finishers in the the Mid-Atlantic Series will receive invitations to the 2016 PKBGT Invitational. The event features a field 27 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

Leading the Prep Series with two great rounds of 73 are Bailey Davis (White Plains, MD 2021) and Kayla Perkins (Bethesda, MD 2018).  Close behind in sole third at 74 is Lena Copoccia (Bethesda, MD 2018).  In fourth place with a 76 is Casey Morrow (Mars, PA 2017).

Leading the Futures Series with a solid round of 76 is Sophie Simon (Potomac, MD 2020).   In sole second with a round of 81 is Elizabeth Coffren (Owings, MD 2020).  In third place with a round of 86 is Jordan Koller (Brookeville, MD 2018).

Awards will be presented to the top-5 players in each series.  We look forward to an exciting conclusion!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
