On Saturday-Sunday, June 18-19, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the Wolfpack Classic at Lonnie Poole Golf Course at NC State University. Lonnie Poole, home to the North Carolina State University women’s golf teams is a demanding course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field 55 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.
Leading the Prep Series with a fantastic 1-under round of 71 is Emily Hawkins (Lexington, NC 2018) who just yesterday won the 20th NC Junior Girls’ Championship at CC of Salisbury. Lurking in second by three strokes is Caroline Cahill (Wilmington, NC 2017) with a 74. Currently in third place is Mogie Adamchick (Raleigh, NC 2017) with a 79.
Leading the Futures Series is Alexia Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2022) with a 78. In sole second with an 81 is Lotte Fox (Raleigh, NC 2020). In a three-way tie for third is Amanda Hill (Hillsborough, NC 2016), Emily Brubaker (Raleigh, NC 2020), and Cassidy Chambers (Goodview, VA 2018) with an 82.
Awards will be presented to the top-5 finishers in each series. We look forward to an exciting conclusion!
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
