On Sunday, June 7, the 2015 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour concluded the Wolfpack Classic at Lonnie Poole Golf Course at NC State University. Lonnie Poole, home to the North Carolina State University women’s golf teams was a demanding course for this two-day tournament. The event featured a field 67 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 425 members in 2014 and over 350 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
Winning the Prep Series was Emily Hawkins (Lexington, NC 2018) with rounds of 71-73-144. This victory comes just days after her win at the 20th NC Junior Girls’ Championship! In second place this weekend was Caroline Cahill (Wilmington, NC 2017) with rounds of 74-74-148. In third place was Mogie Adamchik (Raleigh, NC 2017) with rounds of 79-77-156. In fourth place matching cards was Taylor Waller (Canonsburg, PA 2018) with rounds of 82-78-160. In fifth place matching cards was Olivia John (Browns Summit, NC 2018) with rounds of 81-79-160.
Winning the Futures Series was Lotte Fox (Raleigh, NC 2020) with rounds of 81-75-156. In second place was Alexia Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2022) with rounds of 78-83-161. In third place was Siana Wong (Summerfield, NC 2020) with rounds of 83-82-165. In fourth place was Amanda Hill (Hillsborough, NC 2016) with rounds of 82-84-166. In fifth place was Maria Atwood (Holly Springs, NC 2022) with rounds of 84-83-167.
The PKBGT returns to action on Thursday and Friday June 23-24 at Bryan Park of the PGS Junior Girls’ Championship!
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
