Recap: Choi & Tully Win Pennsylvania Classic

On Saturday-Sunday, May 7 & 8, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the Pennsylvania Classic at Heritage Hills Golf Resort. Heritage Hills, host of the state’s Interscholastic Athletic Association state championship for over 10 years and host to many prestigious junior tournament, is a great course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field 26 players from 6 states in the Prep and Futures Series.  

Winning the Prep Series with rounds of 80-78-157 was Faith Choi  (Frederick, MD 2021).  In second place today was Johnna Parlett (Owings, MD 2019) with rounds of 78-81-159.  In third place was Jinny Park (Fairfax, VA 2019) with rounds of 76-87-163.  In fourth place was Casey Marrow (Mars, PA 2017) 78-89-167.  In fifth place was Taylor Waller (Canonsburg, PA 2018) with rounds of 83-86-169.  

Winning the Futures Series was Tully Caitlin (Brewster, NY 2020) with rounds of 82-83-165.  In second place today was Elizabeth Coffren (Owings, MD 2020) with rounds of 85-81-166.  In third place was Hannah Conroy (Cheswick, PA 2018) with rounds of 84-83-167.  In fourth place was Katie Park (Fairfax, VA 2022) with rounds of 84-84-168.  In fifth place was Alex Abrams (Elkridge, MD 2018) with scores of 86-86-172.  

The PKBGT returns to action next week on Saturday-Sunday, May 14th & 15th with the Carolina’s Classic @ Forest Oaks Country Club  in Greensboro, NC .

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
