Preview: Pennsylvania Classic @ Heritage Hills Resort

On Saturday-Sunday, May 7 & 8, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the Pennsylvania Classic at Heritage Hills Golf Resort. Heritage Hills, host of the state’s Interscholastic Athletic Association state championship for over 10 years and host to many prestigious junior tournament, is a great course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field 26 players from 6 states in the Prep and Futures Series.

The Prep Series field features 8 golfers, highlighted by a few of the top players on the 2016 PKBGT Prep Series Order of Merit list, including: Natalie Welsh (Valencia, PA 2018), Bailey Davis (White Plains, MD 2021), and  Jinny Park (Fairfax, VA).

The Futures Series field features 18 golfers, highlighted by a number of top players on the 2016 PKBGT Futures Series Order of Merit list, including: Hallie Boles (Barbourville, KY 2019), Elizabeth Coffern (Owings, MD 2020), Alexis DiZinno (Alexandria, VA 2018), and Vynie Chen (Centreville, VA 2020).

The Pennsylvania Classic brings together players from Maryland, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. It should be a great event!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
