The PKBGT returns to action this weekend with the Mid-Atlantic Invitational Qualifier at Shenandoah Valley 
Golf Club in Front Royal, Virginia. The 27-hole facility located in the shadow of the Appalachian Mountains is just an hour and a half outside of Washington DC. We are expecting great golf weather for the tournament which will make for the chance to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage that the area is known for.
The field features 18 players from the DC area, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and even as far north as Canada. The girls will compete for four coveted spots into this year’s PKB Invitational, which is scheduled for November 7th-9th at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, NC. The champion and runner-up from this qualifier will also earn an invitation to the Tournament of Champions, which will be played at Pinehurst No. 8 on December 5th-6th.
In the field this weekend are Casey Morrow (Mars, PA 2017), Grace Huffman (Lexington, VA 2020), and Jinny Park (Fairfax, VA 2019). Morrow is currently ranked 51st on the PKB Performance Index. Her best finished this year came at the Precision Jr. Girls’ Championship where she placed fifth with 79-75. Park has played solidly all year, never finishing outside of the top-10 in the events she played this season with the PKB. Her best placement this year was a runner-up finish at the Commonwealth Classic at Fawn Lake CC with rounds of 79-74. Grace Huffman also had a good season, she won the One-Day Open Series event at Forest Oaks CC with a 76 and also placed sixth at the Boar’s Head Inn Classic.

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
