On Monday, July 27, the 2015 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the One-Day Open Series at Chapel Hill Country Club. One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The event features a field 39 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 425 members in 2014 and over 350 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
The Prep Series field features nine golfers, highlighted some standout players on the 2015 PKBGT Performance Index, including: Carley Cox (China Grove, NC 2015), Emma Parson (Chapel Hill, NC 2016), and Anna Wears (Durham, NC 2015).
The Futures Series field features 30 golfers, highlighted by some standout players on the 2015 Futures Series Order of Merit list, including: Darby Bagshaw (Wilmington, NC 2016), Caroline Duggan (Holly Springs, NC 2019), Riley Hamilton (Reidsville, NC 2020), Amanda Hill (Hillsborough, NC 2016), Meghan McPeak (Chapel Hill, NC 2017), Jenna Nagy (Apex, NC 2017), Brianna Plummer (Shelby, NC 2016), Jayla Rogers (Wilmington, NC 2019), Kelley Topiwala (Matthews, NC 2020), and Emilee Wenmoth (Clemmons, NC 2017).
The One-Day Open Series at Chapel Hill Country Club brings together players from North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. It should be a great event!
