On Monday, June 29, the 2015 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the One-Day Open Series at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation. Olde Sycamore, recognized as the “Best New Course” by Charlotte’s Best Magazine, is a wonderful course for this one-day tournament. One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The event features a field 22 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 425 members in 2014 and over 350 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
The Prep Series field features 4 golfers, highlighted some standout players on the 2015 PKBGT Performance Index, including: Parker Melting (Mint Hill, NC 2018) and Ryann Sinclair (Mooresville, NC 2019).
The Futures Series field features 18 golfers, highlighted Morgan Byles (Connelly Springs, NC 2016), Madison Cross (Hickory, NC 2016), Sophie Holland (Cornelius, NC 2020), Lauren Nee (Cary, NC 2019), and Alexis Sudjianto (Charlotte, NC 2019).
The One-Day Open Series at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation brings together players from across North Carolina. It should be a great event!
