Preview: PKBGT MASTERS at ECU

On Saturday-Sunday, April 11-12, the 2015 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the PKBGT MASTERS at Cutter Creek Golf Club. Cutter Creek, home of the East Carolina University Pirates women’s golf team, is a demanding course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field 77 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 425 members in 2014 and over 350 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf. The event, ranked by the GolfWeek/Titliest national rankings, is the second championship tournament of the 2015 season.

The Bell Series field features 48 golfers, highlighted by 14 of the top-30 players on the PKBGT Performance Index, including: Siranon Shoomee (Sanford, NC 2016) ranked 3rd, Sarah Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) ranked 4th, Jessica Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) ranked 5th, Delaney Shah (North Potomac, MD 2016) ranked 7th, Elizabeth Bose (Norfolk, VA 2015) ranked 8th, Haeley Wotnosky (Wake Forest, NC 2018) ranked 12th, Aneka Seumanutafa (Frederick, MD 2019) ranked 14th, Callista Rice (Mars Hill, NC 2017) ranked 16th, Jodee Tindal (Rock Hill, SC 2017) ranked 18th, Samantha Vodry (Mooresville, NC 2016) ranked 23rd, Grace Yatawara (Salisbury, NC 2016) ranked 26th, Kathryn Carson (Mooresville, NC 2017) ranked 27th, Rhea Bhatia (Wake Forest, NC 2015) ranked 28th, and Catherine Ashworth (Fuquay-Varina, NC 2015) ranked 30th. Other standout players in the field include: Kristin Hearp (Salem, VA 2016), Naomi Mitchell (Norfolk, VA 2018), and Danielle Richman (Manhattan Beach, CA 2016).

The Futures Series field features 29 golfers, highlighted by 11 of the top-25 players on the 2015 Futures PKBGT Order of Merit list, including: Carley Rudolf (Virginia Beach, VA 2019) in 1st position, Madison Isaacson (Greensboro, NC 2018) in 2nd position, Emily Anderson (Matthews, NC 2017) in 3rd position, Muskan Uppal (Cornelius, NC 2019) in 5th position, Amanda Sambach (Davidson, NC 2021) in 8th position, Bryson Bowman (Summerfield, NC 2017) in 12th position, Cassie Paulin (Winston-Salem, NC 2017) in 14th position, Kendall Turner (Chesapeake, VA 2019) in 15th position, Mogie Adamchik (Raleigh, NC 2017) in 21st position, Kaley Barts (Apex, NC 2016) in 22nd position, and Jayla Rogers (Wilmington, NC 2019) in 23rd position.

The PKBGT MASTERS at Cutter Creek Golf Club brings together players from event brings together players from California, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. It should be a great tournament! Who will be golden?

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers low cost, nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
