Preview: Commonwealth Classic at W and L

On Friday-Saturday, August 1-2, the 2014 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the Commonwealth Classic at Lexington Golf and Country Club. The course is home to Washington & Lee University golf teams and is a great course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field of 13 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 375 members in 2013 and 262 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.

The Bell Division-Prep Series field features 15 golfers, highlighted some standout players on the PKBGT Performance Index, including: Graysen Bright (Rockville, MD 2015), Brianna Cochran (Gambrills, MD 2016), and Eunbbie Kim (Potomac, MD 2015).

The Commonwealth Classic brings together players from event brings together players from event brings together players from Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. It should be a great tournament!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
