On Thursday, June 19, the 2014 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the first round of the PGS JR GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP at Bryan Park Golf Course (Champions Course). Bryan Park, home to the University of North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans golf teams, is a fantastic venue for the fourth championship event of the season. The event features a field 36 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 375 members in 2013 and 262 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.

In the Bell Division-Prep Series, after round 1, Haeley Wotnosky (Wake Forest, NC 2018) is leading the field by one stroke at three over par with a score of 75. Not far behind Wotnosky is Callista Rice (Mars Hill, NC 2017) at four over par with a score of 76 and Kathryn Carson (Mooresville, NC 2017) at five over par with a score of 77.
