Update: Turk leads Bash at the Bay

On Saturday, June 14, the 2014 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the Bash at the Bay Classic at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club (Green Course). The course is host to multiple college events and is a great course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field of 26 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 375 members in 2013 and 262 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.

The Bell Division-Prep Series, after round one, Katie Turk (Blacksburg, VA 2015) is leading the field by five strokes at four over par with a score of 76. Not far behind Turk is Lena Capoccia (Bethesda, MD 2018) and Eunbbie Kim (Potomac, MD 2015) both shot nine over par each with scores of 81.

The Futures Division, after round one, Rebecca DiNunzio (Norfolk, VA 2019) has a commanding lead over the rest of the field after shooting even par with a score of 72. Ciaran Carlile (Evans, GA 2015) shot nine over par with a score of 81 and Kendall Turner (Chesapeake, VA 2019) shot 10 over par with a score of 82.

Weather for Sunday’s round looks fantastic with sunny skies temperatures in the 80s. Looks like a great day to conclude the Bash at the Bay Classic!
