Update: Goodman/Domenech lead at PKBGT MASTERS

On Saturday, April 12, the 2014 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the first round of the PKBGT MASTERS at Salem Glen Golf and Country Club. The weather was great and the greens rolled true for the second major championship of the 2014 season. A field of 78  players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour, teed it up in search of a PKBGT Championship.

In the Bell Division, after round one, Savanah Goodman (2016, Easley, SC) seeks her second PKBGT title of the year behind a strong opening round of two-over par 73.  One shot back is Savannah Gowarty (2015, Raleigh, NC).  Six players sit two off the lead, including 2014 PKBGT champions Emilia Migliaccio (2017, Cary, NC) and Jaelyn Tindal (2015, Rock Hill, SC).  In all, 15 players sit within 4 shots of the lead going into the final round in the Bell Division.

In the Futures Division, Diana Cristina Domenech (2018, Richmond, VA) is scorching hot!  After winning last week at the Wolfpack Classic, she has continued the solid play with a 4-over par 75.  Katharina Floyd (2020, Chapel Hill, NC) sits 2 back with Woo Wade (2019, Dunwoody, GA) in third, 5 shots off the pace.

Weather for Sunday’s round is looking beautiful with temperatures in the 70′.  It should be a great day for the conclusion to the second championship of the 2014 season! Who will be golden?
