On Saturday-Sunday, April 12-13, the 2014 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the PKBGT MASTERS at Salem Glen Golf and Country Club. The course is in great shape for the second major tournament of the 2014 season. The greens are firm and fast but not too tricky for the skilled PKB field. The event features a field of 86 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 375 members in 2013 and 262 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
The Bell Division field features 59 golfers, highlighted by 13 of the top-50 players on the PKBGT Performance Index, including: Emilia Migliaccio (Cary, NC 2017) ranked 3rd, Sarah Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) ranked 5th, Jessica Spicer (Bahama, NC 2016) ranked 7th, Madison Moosa (Charlotte, NC 2017) ranked 13th, Delaney Shah (North Potomac, MD 2016) ranked 21st, Grace Yatawara (Salisbury, NC 2016) ranked 23rd, Alaina Yeatts (Durham, NC 2014) ranked 25th, Joey Mae Walz (Pittsburgh, PA 2015) ranked 28th, Rachel Lee (Woodstock, MD 2014) ranked 35th, Savanah Goodman (Easley, SC 2016) ranked 37th, Savannah Gowarty (Raleigh, NC 2015) ranked 39th, Khushboo Thiagaraj (Haymarket, VA 2014) ranked 40th, Annie Collom (Davidson, NC 2015) ranked 41st, Jaelyn Tindal (Rock Hill, SC 2015) ranked 44th, Victoria Allred (Pfafftown, NC 2014) ranked 48th, and Megan Munroe (Raeford, NC 2016) ranked 50th.
The Futures Division field features 27 golfers, highlighted by 12 of the top-20 players on the 2014 PKBGT Order of Merit lists, including: Katharina Floyd (Chapel Hill, NC 2020) in 1st position, Sophie Holland (Cornelius, NC 2020) in 2nd position, Jillian Preisach (Fuquay Varina, NC 2019) in 3rd position, Ellis Hunter (Greensboro, NC 2016) in 5th position, Diana Cristina Domenech (Richmond, VA 2018) and Elizabeth Hall (Durham, NC 2015) tied for 6th position, Sirena Walsh (Chantilly, VA 2016) in 8th position, Rachel Kuehn (Asheville, NC 2019) in 9th position, Alyssa Montgomery (Knoxville, TN 2019) in 15th position, Woo Wade (Dunwoody, GA 2019) in 17th position, and Hannah Rose Bruxvoort (Chapel Hill, NC 2018) in 19th position.
The PKBGT MASTERS is the second championship event of the 2014 season and brings together players from Georgia, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and even Ontario, Canada. Who will be golden?
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
