On Saturday, April 20, the 2013 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour held the first round of the Terrapin Classic at University of Maryland Golf Course. University of Maryland Golf Course, home of the University of Maryland Terrapins men’s and women’s golf teams, is a classic course for this two-day tournament. The event features a field of 51 players. The field is strong with three of the top 500 players ranked nationally by Junior Golf Scoreboard and seven players ranked inside the top 100 for their class by Junior Golf Scoreboard.
In the Bell Division, Shannon Brooks (Vienna, VA 2015) is leading the field by four strokes at even par with a score of 71. Not far behind Brooks is Bryana Nguyen (Columbia, MD 2014) in second place at four over par with a score of 75 and Allyson Geer (Brighton, MI 2017) in third place at five over par with a score of 76.
In the Futures Division, Sydney Mills (Severna Park, MD 2016) is leading the field by two strokes at six over par with a score of 77. Not far behind Mills is Eunbbie Kim (Potomac, MD 2015) in second place at eight over par with a score of 79 and Lena Capoccia (Bethesda, MD 2018) in third place at nine over par with a score of 80.

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
